Meet the President

Meet Michaela Pollex, president and fearless leader of the Georgia Dairy Youth Foundation Junior Board of Directors.

Michaela is a senior at Burke County High School with plans to attend the University of Georgia in the fall to pursue her dream career of being a high school agriculture education teacher. Michaela is the president of the first-ever GDYF Junior Board of Directors and has been showing dairy heifers for eight years, but her favorite dairy activity is the Southeast Dairy Youth Retreat held each year in the summer in a Southeastern state. “Every year the Georgia delegation is comprised of few friends and many strangers, but after spending a week engaging yourself and each other, you grow as an entire group and you become a family,” Michaela said. She decided to join the Junior Board because she wanted to promote dairy youth activities outside the show ring and help other showmen discover passions for the ag industry and dairy world, along with the friendships and connections within these circles.
