GDYF Week

For decades, dairy youth activities were organized through the Georgia Cooperative Extension program (4-H) and public school systems in their Agriculture programs (FFA). The Georgia Dairy Youth Foundation was formed in 2010 to increase the focus on dairy activities in 4-H, FFA, and UGA. GDYF helps encourage youth to participate and contribute to the future of the dairy industry. Guthrie, a retired professor in the University of Georgia College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences Department of Animal and Dairy Science, has spent more than five decades advancing and advocating for dairy science practices. He is a huge reason for why we have the GDYF program.
